A Local Paper art. on the new TEC Diocese involved in multiple lawsuits against the Dio. of SC

[Charles VonRosenberg]…emphasized, however, the need for Christian unity among different denominations and groups who might not agree on all issues but who can still operate as a family with common roots and missions of faith and service.

“The spirit of God moves through history in the direction of unity among God’s people. I believe that principle,” vonRosenberg said. “I pray for our unity, and I encourage you to join me in that belief and prayer.”

I do find it interesting that they had their “223rd convention” when it is really only their second convention. I think they made it plain how they felt about unity with the Diocese of South Carolina when they declared (wrongly) that Bishop Lawrence had renounced his orders and had declared that he abandoned the communion of this church (TEC). That seems simple enough- they don’t want unity with us. Truthfully, until they recant and repent of their heretical ways and theologies, there will be no reconciliation with us. They can be unified with as many heretical groups as they like- no problem. We prefer unity with other Anglican Christians like those of the GFCA and the Global South.

“…the Rt. Rev. Charles G. vonRosenberg, bishop of The Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina.”

Really? I don’t think so. I wonder who fed that misinformation to the reporter.

I don’t think Judge Goodstein will be amused.

The vanR apparently thinks prayer for unity involves the legal prayer to the judge. Or did he think he meant something else? And, yes, it was their second organizational meeting for TEDSC, a part of TEc, purveyor of litigation as evangelism for the New Thang Gozpell (R).

Ralph, I don’t know why but reporters have been confusing the two entities since we left in 2012. Part of the confusion is deliberate as the remnant group still want to claim to be the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina hence their recent convention was their 223rd and they still use the name sometimes. We both know it should be Rt. Rev. Charles von Rosenberg, bishop of The Episcopal Church in South Carolina – which is confusing enough. Just another example for our attorneys to show Judge Goodstein when this goes to trial. I agree, I don’t think she will be amused.
