It is axiomatic that when the press is around, more news gets reported. Sadly, coverage of Executive Council meetings is not what it once was. The Living Church, to name one source, has not sent a staff reporter to the last two EC meetings. So it’s easier for members of that body to control what information gets out. Bottom line: Support for independent news sources is vital.
Where I work, minutes aren’t official until the committee approves them at its next meeting. So maybe the December meeting’s minutes should be ready, but not January. Is EC different?
