I was really worried about this one. Of itself, it is no problem, but it needed some complete Biblical foundations rather than the half-truth it proposed.
Thy Kingdom come.
Well, I can tell you… The Standing Committee had re-written it (amended it), why I don’t know.. Then came several more amendments, and a thing about not having copies, etc, etc..
By the time, it was to become finalized, it was almost incomprehensible, (at least to me), so someone made a motion to table it, UNTIL the Diocesan Convention in March. I have a hunch it will be re-written again, and will be voted on again.. That’s all there was to it, no plot, no scheming, nothing notable, just quite a bit of confusion.

I can second what Grandmother said. The motion was not “killed”, but will be revisited at the next convention. The wording was awkward. The intent of the motion is to state that the diocese does not discriminate against anyone, but will speak the truth in love guided by biblical principles.
Any word why it was tabled?
Perhaps it was more contentious than anticipated.

Good news. The wording was offensive. Glad it was “tabled”
I too would like to hear what the arguments against this resolution were.

Thanks, Grandmother. Your convention did a lot of heavy lifting yesterday – God bless.
