1. New Reformation Advocate says:

I suppose that the AboC says nothing about +John Broadhurst, because the Bishop of Fulham works under the oversight of the Bishop of London, whereas +Burnham and +Newton came directly under ++RW’s supervision as suffragans of Canterbury.

This prompt but minimal acknowledgment of the devoted and faithful labors of +Andrew Burnham and +Keith Newton, who endured so much for so long with such patience, is the very least Cantaur could do. The point of this announcement would appear to be the naming of their temporary replacements. But this exceedingly brief statement is merely polite acceptance of their resignations. It certainly isn’t effusive in its praise for these noble men.

Sadly, ++RW missed his chance to offer some badly-needed assurance to traditionalist, anti-WO Anglo-Catholics that he really cares about them and their plight. But the fact is, as his actions show all too clearly, that I doubt that he does care or that he really wants to stem the losses to Rome.

A certain Country Bishop will be available in 3 years to fill these positions to Cantuar’s satisfaction, apparently.

#1: ‘Twas effusively gracious compared with the statement of the Bishop of London.
