I am waiting for a statement from the esteemed Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal church to condemn the Muslim bombings and recent mass killings of Christians, you know, like you would expect from a Christian cleric and “Chief Pastor”.
Waiting…waiting…still waiting.

No. 1: do you have reason to suspect that the Presiding Bishop favors or does not condemn such actions? I rather imagine that a great many people who are appalled by this (or recent attacks on Christians in Iraq and Pakistan) have not issued statements to that effect. While the Archbishop of Canterbury’s statement is welcome, I would not interpret the absence of a public statement to be condonation.
#2-Gee you are so correct…however can you please produce any Episcopal organ anywhere including the beloved Listserve that has said one word on this topic? ONE WORD PLEASE?
Thought so…

No. 3: I have not been monitoring church organs (the publication kind, not the kind with pipes) since the event on Friday. Nonetheless, I do not infer that the absence of a statement is indicative of approbation or lack of concern. Do you have reason to think otherwise?
