David Wilkerson RIP

The founder of Teen Challenge and Times Square Church in New York City died in a head on collision in Texas on Wednesday.

The Rev David Wilkerson, 79, was killed when the car he was driving went into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming truck.

His wife, who was a passenger in the car with him, was rushed to hospital where she remains in a critical condition. The truck driver was also taken to hospital.

    How extraordinarily tragic.
    [i]Everyone[/i] should read “The Cross and the Switchblade”.

    I read The Cross and the Switchblade as a quite young Christian; it made a deep impression for which I am still thankful to this day.

    This is sad news, but we are thankful fro the many lives David Wilkerson turned round.
    Kendall, are you going to put on something re John Stott’s 90th birthday (on wednesday last) or did i miss it?
