  1. Statmann says:

For 2002 through 2010 Marriages in Dio of Conn. declined by 57 percent. In 2010 the 171 churches in the diocese produced only 202 Marriages or just about ONE per church. Great celebration over same-sex marriage and so little concern about the demise of traditional marriage. Statmann

Perhaps “moritoria” has been redefined in committee.

Perhaps there’s a conspiracy to hijack the Communion. Or the lazy-thinking, Alice in Wonderland world of TEc has taken its show to a bigger stage. Not that the two are exclusive.

  3. Brian from T19 says:

There is really no conflict here as the Standing Committee was not one of the groups mentioned by ++Williams

  4. Katherine says:

This makes a mockery of the Communion and of the Standing Committee. It is raising no major outcry because we’ve all known for some time about the contempt of the American church for “Communion.”

Unilateralist, just like his parent organization.

  6. Cennydd13 says:

It does indeed make a mockery of the Communion and of the Standing Committee, and as long as there are TEC representatives in the Communion, it will continue to do so. For the three years remaining in her term of office, Katherine Jefferts Schori will see to it, and just so there’s no misunderstanding, whoever succeeds her in office will do the same, unless by some divine miracle, they get tossed out.

    Taking a big breath…
    ANATHEMA!

He should resign from the Standing Committee, since by his actions he has de facto resigned from Holy Orders.

The success of an organization can be judged by its leaders. I guess that is why TEC has turned into such a failure as a Christian denomination much less as a member of the Church Catholic.
