(Washington Post) U.S. develops new blueprint for hunting terrorists

Over the past two years, the Obama administration has been secretly developing a new blueprint for pursuing terrorists, a next-generation targeting list called the “disposition matrix.”

The matrix contains the names of terrorism suspects arrayed against an accounting of the resources being marshaled to track them down, including sealed indictments and clandestine operations. U.S. officials said the database is designed to go beyond existing kill lists, mapping plans for the “disposition” of suspects beyond the reach of American drones.

Although the matrix is a work in progress, the effort to create it reflects a reality setting in among the nation’s counterterrorism ranks: The United States’ conventional wars are winding down, but the government expects to continue adding names to kill or capture lists for years.

    1. As Gov. Romney said the other night, just killing people does not an effective foreign policy make.

    2. For all this implied sophistication we exhibit off-shore, it is appalling that we can’t label a terrorist attack within our own borders for what it is; a terrorist attack. The Administration does everything but back-flips to not make that admission.

    3. All the security we exert overseas [oops except for Benghazi] does not protect us since our southern boarder leaks worse than a seive letting hamas and every other flavor of radical Islamist terrorist waltz in as they please.

Obviously, the WaPo writer was just dazzeled by who ever whispered sweet nothings into his ear.

What overseas security? When State mandates unloaded weapons, it is less than the equivalent lack of border security into Mexico. The Obamanater and Queen Hillary have completely emasculated American security and foreign policy, so why even bother, just find your bunker and hunker!

This is a very troubling evolvement. When will some administration, particularly this one decide that this is the way to handle opponents here at home? I do not mean terrorist elements. but political. This administration has shown that it will hide, dodge, lie and anything else to keep its secret secret unless leaking them will help them politically. What happens when they turn this on us?

So, it is now government policy to assassinate people who we label as terrorists. On what grounds do we complain if and when they do it to us? And 4s point is well taken. Already we see the working of an internal security police state in the security theater practiced by TSA at airports and their attempt to expand it to other transportation nodes. Why not adopt a system of internal passports and papers to be presented on demand by government officials? It’s all in our best interests don’t you know.

Or just plant an RFID micro chip under the skin that provides constant tracking and coughs up all personal data to any government official having an interrogation device. That would be a mandate enforced by the IRS and severe penalities would be in place for those malcontents trying to avoid the chip. Saw a movie on Netflix the other night with this precise same scenario.
