The housing bust that has plagued the nation and the S.C. coast for more than a year has made its way to the Midlands.
The Columbia area had its first annual decline in home sales since 2000 with a 2.4 percent dip last year, the S.C. Association of Realtors reported Wednesday.
Homes are staying on the market a week longer than in 2006, an average of 85 days.
I think I shall register a complaint to whomever it may concern. A house is not a home. It’s a structure. A home is usually made by a living family related group. Over forty years a movie had the same phrase ” A house is not a home”. It starred Robert Taylor and Shelley Williams. For those of you that are old enough the “house” in this film was not well thought of. Nuff said!!
