This mocking title seems out of keeping with T19’s house style.
Dean Faull’s statement is worthy of critique because it does not even mention what is the church’s teaching on human sexuality, not because of any ambitions she may or may not harbor.
T19 usually merely posts the linked headline. This is not Anglican Ink’s headline.
That said, I think the effect of this decision on the Christian reputation of York Minster is “dreadful.”
It’s the elves that posted this. They can sometimes be a bit snarky… it must be tempting for them to use those pointy claws sometimes and not always keep them sheathed. Maybe they have pointy tongues to go with their pointy ears, pointy hats…. LOL.
driver8, I concur because it should be “Dean Faull, who wants to be a bishop, says …”. Improper contractions give the appearance of mockery. Rather, come to think of it, like aspirants to the purple who fail to mention any source of belief other than the zeitgeist.
Elves, correct yourselves, and use proper contractions henceforth! LOL.
