Wow! Another inspiring sermon by Fleming Rutledge. (If only all women priests were as orthodox and evangelical as she is!). I hope many will take the time to read this great sermon, full of hope in these dark days.
I freely admit that I had never heard of Helmuth von Moltke before. But I’d like to learn more about him (and his courageous wife), now that Rutledge has whetted my appetite.
BTW, if you haven’t seen Rutledge’s recent book, “The Battle for Middle Earth,” I highly recommend it too. It’s a roughly 300 page theological commentary on Tolkien’s classic fantasy, The Lord of the Rings. It’s insightful and elegantly written, like this sermon.
