O God my Father, I thank thee that thou hast welcomed me into thy family and made me thy child.
I thank thee for sending thy dear Son to bear my sins, and to set an example for me to follow in my daily life.
Give me courage in my confirmation to confess him as my Saviour and Lord, and not to be ashamed of him.
Fill me with thy Holy Spirit, that he may strengthen me to overcome temptation, and at all times to be a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Make me thine for ever, and help me to grow steadily in the knowledge of thee, and in the love of thy holy Word.
Show me how to introduce my friends to thee, that together we may follow thee all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
