Too truth, but this is occurring not only in countries where Muslims are the majority but also in the so-called enlightened western world that identify themselves as Christians. Once again, we must identify what it means to be Christian and what is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therein lies the problems. We are in conflict over the essentials of our Christian faith, and it is not going to get any better in the days to come.
++Rowan is trying to be objective and call for all to sacrifice. The problem is that this has already been done. TEC and the ACoC have refused to heed the call to work within the parameters of the Communion. They see themselves as leading the way to a New Truth as guided by God the Holy Spirit.
They will not see that the fruits of their decisions and actions have not only been divisive but have led to schism in TEC and are likely to do the same eventually to the Anglican Communion.
++Rowan’s call to sacrifice by both sides has already been rejected. What reasonable person would expect a different response. As has already been pointed out on this blog numerous times, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different outcome. If ++Rowan’s past performance is any indication of future actions, then TEC and the ACoC have nothing to fear. In that case, neither do those who have come to the rescue of persecuted Anglicans in North America.
