When I see blossoms spring,
\nAnd hear the birds’ song,
\nA sweet love-longing
\nEntirely pierces my heart,
\nAll for a love new
\nThat is so sweet and true,
\nThat gladdens all my song:
\nI know in truth, iwis,
\nMy joy and all my bliss
\nOn him is all ylong. [is all because of him]<\/p>\n

Of Jesu Christ I sing,
\nWho is so fair and free, [noble]
\nSweetest of all thing;
\nHis own ought I well to be.
\nSo far for me he sought,
\nWith suffering he me bought,
\nWith wounds two and three;
\nWell sore he was swung,
\nAnd for me with spear was stung,
