{"id":109629,"date":"2022-02-10T12:15:58","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T17:15:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=109629"},"modified":"2022-02-11T05:15:06","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T10:15:06","slug":"ct-russell-moore-the-most-dangerous-form-of-deconstruction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=109629","title":{"rendered":"(CT) Russell Moore&#8211;The Most Dangerous Form of Deconstruction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text\">John the Baptist was not being unreasonable when he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, \u201cAre you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?\u201d (Luke 7:20) And when the disciples on the road to Emmaus said to their traveling companion, the recently crucified Jesus, \u201cWe had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel\u201d (24:21)\u2014Jesus revealed to them that their hopes has been met in ways they couldn\u2019t have imagined until that very moment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">The question is not whether we will deconstruct, but <em>what <\/em>we will deconstruct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">Will it be the wood, hay, and stubble that is destined to burn up and burn out? Or will it be our own souls? Sometimes the people we think are \u201cdeconstructing\u201d are just grieving and asking God where he is at a moment like this. That has happened before.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">By contrast, sometimes the people who appear most confident and certain\u2014who are scanning the boundaries for heretics\u2014are those who have given up belief in the new birth, in the renewal of the mind, and in the judgment seat of Christ.
