His boss, President Obama, had fanned expectations for his debut as Mr. Fix-It, leaving the impression that it would be boffo. It wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Why is anyone surprised that Mr. Geithner\u2019s Financial Stability Plan lacked details? We are still in sugar-coating mode \u201d\u201d yes, we have a problem, government officials contend. But they can handle it.
