But he says he\u2019d had enough: The store was constantly short-staffed and customers were intractable. In one instance, a shopper pulled a gun on him for trying to enforce the company\u2019s mask mandate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m tired, I\u2019m broken down, worn out and old,\u201d the 62-year-old said. \u201cI was worked to death for so long that finally, I said, there\u2019s no way I\u2019m going back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s begun drawing on Social Security payments to make ends meet, and helps his wife run her small shop, Black Dog Beads.
