{"id":1174,"date":"2007-07-31T04:55:00","date_gmt":"2007-07-31T04:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/site\/2017\/2\/1985\/a_living_church_article_on_the_anglican_communion_network_meeting\/"},"modified":"2007-07-31T04:55:00","modified_gmt":"2007-07-31T04:55:00","slug":"a_living_church_article_on_the_anglican_communion_network_meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=1174","title":{"rendered":"A Living Church Article on the Anglican Communion Network Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an interview with a reporter for The Living Church Canon Daryl Fenton, chief operating officer for the Network, acknowledged that the distance between The Episcopal Church leadership and the Network has grown to the size of a chasm, but he downplayed the likelihood of a formal departure occurring during this meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven in safe dioceses the level of dissatisfaction is growing,\u201d\u009d he said. \u201cPeople are becoming radicalized and less patient. We really are concerned about catholicity, however. We consider ourselves to be under the authority of the primates and we will not do anything which would undercut the careful agreements they have already worked out.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>In their February communiqu\u00c3\u00a9, the primates requested a response from the House of Bishops of The Episcopal Church by Sept. 30. The deadline falls five days after the conclusion of the fall House of Bishops\u2019 meeting.
