{"id":119272,"date":"2023-03-08T07:28:16","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T12:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=119272"},"modified":"2023-03-08T05:40:02","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T10:40:02","slug":"smitha-prasadam-announced-as-new-bishop-of-huddersfield","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=119272","title":{"rendered":"Smitha Prasadam announced as new Bishop of Huddersfield"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Revd Canon Smitha Prasadam, currently Chaplain of St Albans, Copenhagen, will take up the role of Bishop of Huddersfield, Downing Street announced this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Her appointment as an Area Bishop in the Anglican Diocese of Leeds marks a return to Yorkshire for Smitha, who once studied English Literature and Linguistics at the College of Ripon and York St John, (University of Leeds). <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I can\u2019t wait to start meeting people in God\u2019s own country again,\u201d said Smitha, who has served the Anglican Church in Denmark since 2018. \u201cThis is where I came as a student and began my journey so it holds a special place in my heart.
