{"id":121941,"date":"2023-07-10T07:30:29","date_gmt":"2023-07-10T11:30:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=121941"},"modified":"2023-07-10T17:50:15","modified_gmt":"2023-07-10T21:50:15","slug":"church-times-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=121941","title":{"rendered":"(Church Times) Letters reveal divisions among the Bishops over prayers for same-sex couples"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<em>Church Times<\/em>\u00a0has seen a letter sent on Wednesday by a group of 22 bishops \u2014 including nine diocesans \u2014 who have written to their colleagues to welcome the letter from the \u201calliance of network leaders\u201d and to support its call for the Prayers of Love and Faith to be returned to the Synod under Canon B2.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood, however, that a larger group of bishops, believed to number more than 40, have warned against subjecting the prayers to a long, uncertain, and, they argue, unnecessary synodical process.
