We distrust God because we assume he is not truly for us, that if we give him complete control we will be miserable. Adam and Eve did not say, \u201cLet\u2019s be evil. Let\u2019s ruin our own live and everyone else\u2019s too!\u201d Rather they thought, \u201cWe just want to be happy. But his commands don\u2019t look like they will give us the things that we need to thrive.
