THE Anglican Communion may not survive its current crisis over authority and dif\u00c2\u00adfering theological perspectives, the Archbishop of Canterbury acknowledged on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
But he insisted: \u201cEven if we are separated by a number of canonical, theological determinations; even if we blew apart as a communion in chaos and disruption, which God forbid, sooner or later we would have to hear the voice of Christ say: \u201d\u02dcThere\u2019s your brother, there\u2019s your sister, there\u2019s a long journey for you together in the path towards reconciliation.\u2019\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n
Dr Williams was giving the Anglican Con\u00c2\u00adsul\u00c2\u00adtative Council (ACC) a 40-minute presenta\u00c2\u00adtion on the recommendations of the final report of the Windsor Continuation Group (WCG), the body created, as he put it, to \u201ccon\u00c2\u00adtain the chaos and division\u201d\u009d that threatened the Communion over the issue of human sexuality.<\/p>\n
