This contradicts what members of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/general-synod\">General Synod<\/a>\u00a0have been told.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued on Tuesday, the group, styling themselves the \u201cISB 11\u201d, write: \u201cNot one survivor is currently having their review progressed\u201d by Kevin Crompton, who was appointed in September to take over the commissioning of independent reviews (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/articles\/2023\/22-september\/news\/uk\/kevin-crompton-appointed-to-take-up-past-cases-of-former-independent-safeguarding-board\">News, 15 September 2023<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The statement disputes what is written in a General Synod paper,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchofengland.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2024-02\/gs-2336-safeguarding-with-annex.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GS 2336<\/a>, released on 9 February on behalf of the House of Bishops and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/archbishops-council\">Archbishops\u2019 Council<\/a>. The paper says: \u201cWe are glad that several people are taking up this offer and working with Kevin to set in place reviews.
