(Isaiah 49:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (GSFA) is a recognised grouping within the&nbsp; Anglican Communion which includes some 75% of Anglicans worldwide and traces its origins to the&nbsp; first \u2018South to South\u2019 Encounter in Kenya in 1994. Since then, regular \u2018Encounter\u2019 gatherings have&nbsp; brought the voice of Global South to the wider Anglican Communion and next week, 11<sup>th<\/sup>-15<sup>th&nbsp;<\/sup>June, a&nbsp; group of 200 leaders is being gathered by the GSFA in Egypt as its \u20181<sup>st&nbsp;<\/sup>Assembly\u2019 under a new&nbsp; Covenantal structure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Assembly will meet in the context of the rapid growth of Anglican Churches of the Majority&nbsp; World, in contrast to the Western Churches which, on the whole, have been unable to resist a&nbsp; cultural drift away from orthodox Christianity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/christianitytoday.com\/ct\/2024\/may-web-only\/further-along-by-now-expectation-gap-excerpt.html\">Read it all<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegsfa.org\/news\/gathered-in-order-to-be-sent-out\">there is more there<\/a>.<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Press release from the Global South Fellowship of Anglicans ahead of the June 11-15 Assembly in Egypt.
