{"id":129919,"date":"2024-06-13T17:22:00","date_gmt":"2024-06-13T21:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=129919"},"modified":"2024-06-13T18:04:58","modified_gmt":"2024-06-13T22:04:58","slug":"church-times-professors-andrew-davison-and-luke-bretherton-to-hold-regius-chairs-at-oxford-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=129919","title":{"rendered":"(Church Times) Professors Andrew Davison and Luke Bretherton to hold Regius chairs at Oxford University"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>THE appointment of two new Oxford Regius Professors and Canons of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/christ-church-oxford\">Christ Church<\/a>&nbsp;was announced from Downing Street on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Starbridge Professor of Theology and Natural Sciences in the University of Cambridge, the Revd Dr Andrew Davison, has been appointed Oxford\u2019s Regius Professor of Divinity: one of the oldest chairs in the university, established by King Henry VIII&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Robert E. Cushman Distinguished Professor of Moral and Political Theology at Duke University, in the US, Dr Luke Bretherton, is to be the Regius Professor of Moral and Pastoral Theology.
