Rt. Jack Iker, also known as the \u201clion of Fort Worth,\u201d died Oct. 5 at the age of 75.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iker is survived by his wife, Donna Iker, their three daughters and four grandchildren.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born Aug. 31, 1949, Iker was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He served as a Rector of the church of the Redeemer in Florida before being consecrated as bishop coadjutor, someone who assists a diocesan bishop, for the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth on April 24, 1993.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iker became the third bishop to serve the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth on Jan. 1, 1995.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2024\/10\/06\/former-anglican-bishop-dies-at-75-remembered-as-the-lion-of-fort-worth\/\">Read it all<\/a>.<\/p><\/p><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&quot;Many of the men who served under [Anglican Bishop Jack] Iker in Texas praised him for his faithfulness in the face of sustained opposition.
