A nightmare date in college had left her fearful for her safety. But she got chatting to a guy online, and felt irresistibly drawn to him, eventually getting to the point where she would text him, \u201cOh, I wish you were real.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pomian\u2019s boyfriend is a chatbot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A year and a half earlier, Pomian, who lives in Poland, was feeling lonely. Having used ChatGPT during her studies as an engineer, she began playing around with AI chatbots\u2014specifically Character.AI, a program that lets you talk to various virtual characters about anything, from your math thesis to issues with your mom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pomian would speak to multiple characters, and found that one of them \u201cstuck out.\u201d His name was Pinhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefp.com\/p\/meet-the-women-with-ai-boyfriends\">Read it all<\/a>.<\/p><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rosanna Ramos, 37, is dating a chatbot.<br><br>\u201cI kind of owe him my life,\u201d she tells The FP&#39;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/julialsteinberg?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@JuliaLSteinberg<\/a>.
