{"id":141258,"date":"2025-11-19T05:59:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T10:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=141258"},"modified":"2025-11-19T07:01:40","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T12:01:40","slug":"from-the-morning-bible-readings-1601","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=141258","title":{"rendered":"From the Morning Bible Readings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, \u201cThe Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.\u201d And they were greatly distressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When they came to Caper\u2032na-um, the collectors of the half-shekel tax went up to Peter and said, \u201cDoes not your teacher pay the tax?\u201d He said, \u201cYes.\u201d And when he came home, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, \u201cWhat do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their sons or from others?\u201d And when he said, \u201cFrom others,\u201d Jesus said to him, \u201cThen the sons are free.
