On 29 October, they issued&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.anglicannews.org\/news\/2025\/10\/episcopal-church-of-sudan-makes-urgent-appeal-for-peace-in-sudan.aspx\">an urgent appeal for peace<\/a>&nbsp;in Sudan, calling for all parties to \u2018immediately cease hostilities\u2019 and imploring the international community to respond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bishops\u2019 October statement depicted the Sudanese people as facing a \u2018grave situation\u2019 and drew attention to \u2018the ongoing conflict in Sudan and its devastating impact on the security, social and economic conditions\u2019 which greatly affects \u2018the lives of citizens.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archbishop Ezekiel explains to Anglican News that October\u2019s appeal was all about \u2018Urging groups to silence the guns, to stop the war and to speak peace. This is important. Because people are dying. People are hungry.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since that statement was made, Archbishop Ezekiel relays,&nbsp; \u2018There is nothing yet changed, but we have hope\u2026 We thank God that the Quad group is working very hard to bring the groups together, to \u2018stop the war,\u2019 and \u2018bring peace\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anglicannews.org\/news\/2025\/11\/sudan-in-crisis-sudans-archbishop-brings-appeal-for-peace-to-uk.aspx\">Read it all<\/a>.<\/p><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Sudan is facing the world\u2019s largest humanitarian crisis.
