{"id":143480,"date":"2026-02-23T17:17:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T22:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=143480"},"modified":"2026-02-23T19:04:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T00:04:00","slug":"church-times-bishop-of-lincoln-suspended-from-ministry-while-complaint-to-the-nst-is-looked-into","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=143480","title":{"rendered":"(Church Times) Bishop of Lincoln suspended from ministry while complaint to the NST is looked into"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/archbishop-of-canterbury\">Archbishop of Canterbury<\/a>\u00a0has suspended the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/bishop-of-lincoln\">Bishop of Lincoln<\/a>, the Rt Revd Stephen Conway, from ministry, while a complaint to the National\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/safeguarding\">Safeguarding<\/a>\u00a0Team is investigated, it was announced on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/diocese-of-lincoln\">diocese of Lincoln<\/a>\u2019s website said that the complaint had also been referred \u201cto the appropriate statutory authorities\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bishop Conway has been Bishop of Lincoln since 2023 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/articles\/2023\/26-may\/news\/uk\/i-fell-in-love-with-the-people-stephen-conway-announced-as-next-bishop-of-lincoln\">News, 24 May 2023<\/a>).
