{"id":146877,"date":"2026-07-28T17:41:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T21:41:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=146877"},"modified":"2026-07-28T17:43:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T21:43:00","slug":"church-times-christian-partnership-publishes-practical-guidelines-to-help-churches-use-ai-faithfully","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=146877","title":{"rendered":"(Church Times) Christian partnership publishes practical guidelines to help churches use AI\u00a0\u2018faithfully\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A new resource has been launched to \u201chelp churches of all denominations use\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/artificial-intelligence-ai\">AI\u00a0<\/a>thoughtfully, faithfully, and well\u201d amid the \u201csilent adoption\u201d of AI in church life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aichristian.org\/guidelines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI Guidelines for Christian Ministry<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;has been produced by the AI Christian Partnership (AICP), a not-for-profit organisation made up of Christian groups, theologians, technologists, and academics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guidelines have been created to avoid AI \u201cgradually seeping into church life without proper discussion\u201d, and to support churchpeople to understand the long-term impact on congregations, AICP said. \u201cAlthough aimed at church ministers, leaders, and volunteers, they contain principles, ethics, and practical tips that all Christians can apply and use.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its founder, Chris Goswami, said: \u201cAI can be a great asset for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/ministry\">ministry<\/a>, or it can leave us with a fast-food version of ministry.
