The actress Christina Applegate, who received a multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021, said on Tuesday that she had been unexpectedly plunged back into uncertainty after a doctor told her she didn\u2019t have multiple sclerosis after all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis may come as great news, but to me it comes as like I\u2019m back at square one,\u201d Ms. Applegate said on \u201cMeSsy<\/a>,\u201d a podcast she hosts with the actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler. She broke into tears as she described the doctor\u2019s words: \u201cShe came into my room and she said, \u2018Congratulations, you don\u2019t have M.S.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, I was not happy at all,\u201d she said, explaining that her symptoms did not go away when the diagnosis did. \u201cEverybody else was so happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou don\u2019t get misdiagnosed and then all of a sudden I\u2019m better,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The about-face, Ms. Applegate said, doesn\u2019t mean she\u2019s not sick anymore.
