{"id":148368,"date":"2026-10-28T17:15:00","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T21:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=148368"},"modified":"2026-10-28T18:16:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T22:16:11","slug":"church-times-new-general-synod-members-will-seek-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=148368","title":{"rendered":"(Church Times) New General Synod members will seek change"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Demands for a redirection of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/church-commissioners\">Church Commissioners<\/a>\u2019 largesse to parish ministry will be widely and strongly voiced in the next quinquennium of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/general-synod\">General Synod<\/a>, election statements from successful candidates suggest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/save-the-parish\">Save the Parish<\/a> (STP) reported this week that 77 candidates who had signed up to its manifesto had been elected, and about 20 others had told the group that they supported it.
