It provides an overview of finances, attendance, and clergy numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn financial terms, the Church of England is exceptionally well-resourced in comparison with many other provinces of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/topics\/anglican-communion\">Anglican Communion<\/a>,\u201d the paper states. \u201cIts historic endowments, investments, and institutional resources give it a financial capacity that much of the Communion simply does not share. That relative wealth brings both opportunity and a particular stewardship responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a briefing on Thursday, the Synod\u2019s secretary general, William Nye, said that it was \u201csalutary just to be reminded of that occasionally\u201d.
