{"id":15779,"date":"2009-10-27T21:32:40","date_gmt":"2009-10-27T21:32:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/site\/2017\/2\/1985\/religious_intelligence_rebuff_for_vatican_offer_to_anglicans\/"},"modified":"2009-10-27T21:32:40","modified_gmt":"2009-10-27T21:32:40","slug":"religious_intelligence_rebuff_for_vatican_offer_to_anglicans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=15779","title":{"rendered":"Religious Intelligence: Rebuff for Vatican offer to Anglicans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A mass exodus of overseas Anglo-Catholics in response to last week\u2019s announcement of a proposed Anglican enclave within the Roman Catholic Church is unlikely, a review of the Communion by The Church of England Newspaper finds.<\/p>\n<p>While overseas leaders acknowledge that individual Anglicans may take advantage of the provisions of the proposed Apostolic Constitution for the creation of \u201cPersonal Ordinariates for Anglicans entering the Catholic Church,\u201d\u009d no diocese or province is set to quit the Anglican Communion for Rome.<\/p>\n<p>In jurisdictions where traditional Anglo-Catholics predominate: the Provinces of Central Africa, Tanzania, West Africa, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the West Indies; the Australian dioceses of The Murray and Ballarat and the US dioceses of Fort Worth, Quincy and San Joaquin&#8212;individuals may take up the Vatican\u2019s offer, but no institution is likely to follow.
