{"id":24243,"date":"2011-01-28T16:20:44","date_gmt":"2011-01-28T16:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/site\/2017\/2\/1985\/ny_times_record_level_of_stress_found_in_college_freshmen\/"},"modified":"2011-01-28T16:20:44","modified_gmt":"2011-01-28T16:20:44","slug":"ny_times_record_level_of_stress_found_in_college_freshmen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=24243","title":{"rendered":"(NY Times) Record Level of Stress Found in College Freshmen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The emotional health of college freshmen \u201d\u201d who feel buffeted by the recession and stressed by the pressures of high school \u201d\u201d has declined to the lowest level since an annual survey of incoming students started collecting data 25 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>In the survey, \u201cThe American Freshman: National Norms Fall 2010,\u201d\u009d involving more than 200,000 incoming full-time students at four-year colleges, the percentage of students rating themselves as \u201cbelow average\u201d\u009d in emotional health rose. Meanwhile, the percentage of students who said their emotional health was above average fell to 52 percent.
