Prime Minister John Key said at least 65 people had been killed.<\/p>\n<p>Damage was extensive and people were trapped inside buildings, The Associated Press reported.<\/p>\n<p>Video from the scene by 3 News New Zealand showed extensive damage to the city\u2019s main cathedral, as well as people running through the streets to safety.
