It is an invitation to release our imagination for creative peaceful solutions in refusing the seemingly obvious action of moral retaliation.<\/p>\n<p>Let us look for ways that reconcile, build the common good and nourish relationships \u201d\u201d not increase our alienation and cause others only to hunker down while they wait for their own opportunity for revenge. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote \u201cwe must learn to live in co-existence, or else face the prospect of co-annihilation.\u201d\u009d Jesus said, \u201cthe one who lives by the sword, dies by the sword.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>There is a better way. Our imaginations are better than this.
