Restaurateur Michael De Beyer wants to sell his fine-dining German restaurant, but at the right price, and all for a good cause.<\/p>\n
A 19-year-old employee of De Beyer\u2019s has been diagnosed with a ping-pong size tumor in her brain, he said. And in December, when doctors first made their diagnosis, De Beyer\u2019s jack-of-all-trades hostess, waitress, bus-girl and kitchen aide didn\u2019t have health insurance, he said.<\/p>\n
De Beyer said he is willing to help any way he can, even if that includes selling the only German restaurant owned by an actual German in the Houston region, as he describes his Montgomery restaurant of 15 years, the Kaiserhof Restaurant and Wunderbar.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not able to just sit by and let it happen,\u201d\u009d De Beyer said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t live with myself; I would never be happy just earning money from my restaurant knowing that she needs help.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n
