{"id":420,"date":"2007-06-14T22:16:00","date_gmt":"2007-06-14T22:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/site\/2017\/2\/1985\/executive_council_rejects_primates_pastoral_plan_insists_on_diocesan_access\/"},"modified":"2007-06-14T22:16:00","modified_gmt":"2007-06-14T22:16:00","slug":"executive_council_rejects_primates_pastoral_plan_insists_on_diocesan_access","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=420","title":{"rendered":"Executive Council Rejects Primates\u2019 Pastoral Plan; Insists on Diocesan Accession Clause"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From The Living Church:<\/p>\n<p>In other news, council approved a resolution declaring \u201cnull and void\u201d\u009d attempts by a number of dioceses to revise their constitution to qualify their accession to the Constitution and Canons of the General Convention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny amendment to a diocesan constitution that purports in any way to limit or lessen an unqualified accession to the constitution of The Episcopal Church is null and void, and be it further resolved that the amendments passed to the constitutions of the dioceses of Pittsburgh, Fort Worth, Quincy and San Joaquin, which purport to limit or lessen the unqualified accession to the constitution of The Episcopal Church are accordingly null and void and the constitutions of those dioceses shall be as they were as if such amendments had not been passed,\u201d\u009d council stated in Resolution NAC-023.<\/p>\n<p>After the resolution was approved, the Rt. Rev.
