These meetings fill a need that area atheists say wasn\u2019t being met: Weekly get-togethers for like-minded people in a family-friendly environment.<\/p>\n<p>he group is called Kansas City Oasis, and it\u2019s modeled after Houston Oasis in Texas. But don\u2019t call it an \u201catheist church\u201d\u009d \u201d\u201d they prefer \u201csecular community,\u201d\u009d or \u201chumanist community.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>These Oasis communities aren\u2019t the only Sunday meetup.
