Pope Francis\u2019 visit Saturday to Jordan, the first stop on his three day pilgrimage to the Holy Land, comes at one of the most challenging and difficult moments of our lifetime: that\u2019s according to the President of one leading U.S. university who says he\u2019s hopeful the pontiff\u2019s visit to the region will encourage peace there.<\/p>\n
President of Jesuit-run Georgetown University Dr. John DeGioia will be in Amman for the Pope\u2019s arrival. Jordan\u2019s King Abdullah has long been \u201cexceptionally\u201d\u009d supportive of interfaith dialogue, says DeGioia, whose university runs a renowned center for interreligious dialogue.<\/p>\n
