Just as there is an evil zeal of bitterness
\nwhich separates from God and leads to hell,
\nso there is a good zeal
\nwhich separates from vices and leads to God
\nand to life everlasting.
\nThis zeal, therefore, the sisters should practice
\nwith the most fervent love.
\nThus they should anticipate one another in honor (Rom. 12:10);
\nmost patiently endure one another’s infirmities,
\nwhether of body or of character;
\nvie in paying obedience one to another —
\nno one following what she considers useful for herself,
\nbut rather what benefits another — ;
\ntender the charity of sisterhood chastely;
\nfear God in love;
\nlove their Abbess with a sincere and humble charity;
\nprefer nothing whatever to Christ.
