The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad,
\n the desert shall rejoice and blossom;
\nlike the crocus it shall blossom abundantly,
\n and rejoice with joy and singing.
\nThe glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
\n the majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
\nThey shall see the glory of the Lord,
\n the majesty of our God.<\/p>\n
Strengthen the weak hands,
\n and make firm the feeble knees.
\nSay to those who are of a fearful heart,
\n \u201cBe strong, fear not!
\nBehold, your God
\n will come with vengeance,
\nwith the recompense of God.
\n He will come and save you.\u201d\u009d
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
\n and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
\nthen shall the lame man leap like a hart,
\n and the tongue of the dumb sing for joy.
\nFor waters shall break forth in the wilderness,
\n and streams in the desert;
\nthe burning sand shall become a pool,
\n and the thirsty ground springs of water;
\nthe haunt of jackals shall become a swamp,
\n the grass shall become reeds and rushes.<\/p>\n
And a highway shall be there,
\n and it shall be called the Holy Way;
\nthe unclean shall not pass over it,
\n and fools shall not err therein.
\nNo lion shall be there,
\n nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it;
\nthey shall not be found there,
\n but the redeemed shall walk there.
\nAnd the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
\n and come to Zion with singing;
\neverlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
\n they shall obtain joy and gladness,
\n and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.<\/p>\n
