However the process of change will take at least two years. If and when final approval is given, priests will be allowed \u201d\u201c but not required \u201d\u201c to celebrate weddings between same-sex partners.<\/p>\n<p>The General Synod voted to ask the Faith and Order Board to look at revising the church\u2019s rules on marriage.
