As we read I Corinthians 15, our class realized that what Paul believed gave him the courage and confidence to face savage opposition, relentless persecution and even death itself. The same is true today. Christians who believe that Jesus rose from the dead and raises us with Him have that same confidence and courage to face deprivations of all kind, persecution, and even death.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/KDWiddH-U2A?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><i><b>What we believe\u201d\u201dor refuse to believe\u201d\u201dis at the heart of the crisis within Anglicanism today<\/b><\/i>.  Everybody thinks the issues we face are about sex.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HsaomcM1jbM\">But as has been demonstrated \u201csex\u201d\u009d is just the tip of the iceberg<\/a>.  Beneath the tip of the iceberg that gets all the attention, we see huge challenges to faith that really matter. Beneath the surface of that iceberg we see a direct challenge to the Biblical doctrines of Creation (what God defines as \u201cgood\u201d\u009d), marriage, the authority of the Scriptures, who gets to make decisions in the Church about what we believe and, ultimately, the message of Christ\u2019s Gospel itself (is Jesus saying \u201ccome as you are and stay as you are\u201d\u009d or \u201cCome as you are <i>and let me change you from the inside out so that you find your identity in ME alone<\/i>\u201d\u009d?).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What you and I believe really matters!
