Churches in the same document stated that \u201cwithout common values, unity cannot endure.\u201d\u009d Now, 15 years later, we find ourselves in a situation in which increasingly vocal political parties and groupings argue against further political and economic integration on our continent. What seemed a logical position 15 years ago seems less evident today.
