He always smiled, and he had a sense of contentment unlike anything I had ever seen. It was as though he were somehow oblivious to all of the misery that surrounded him. He radiated joy and peace, and for some reason, it troubled me.<\/p>\n<p>Without thinking, I confessed, \u201cI wish I had what you have in your life. I wish I had your sense of peace and happiness.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you go to church?\u201d\u009d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes,\u201d\u009d I replied. \u201cOn Christmas and Easter.
