The jury had been deliberating for about 22 hours.<\/p>\n<p>It was not immediately clear whether state prosecutors would retry Slager. The 35-year-old former policeman still faces charges in federal court that carry a lifetime of imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>The jury had two options for a conviction: murder or voluntary manslaughter.
