But there will be no gloom for her that was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zeb\u201d\u00b2ulun and the land of Naph\u201d\u00b2tali, but in the latter time he will make glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.<\/p>\n
The people who walked in darkness
\n have seen a great light;
\nthose who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
\n on them has light shined.
\nThou hast multiplied the nation,
\n thou hast increased its joy;
\nthey rejoice before thee
\n as with joy at the harvest,
\n as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
\nFor the yoke of his burden,
\n and the staff for his shoulder,
\n the rod of his oppressor,
\n thou hast broken as on the day of Mid\u201d\u00b2ian.
\nFor every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult
\n and every garment rolled in blood
\n will be burned as fuel for the fire.
\nFor to us a child is born,
\n to us a son is given;
\nand the government will be upon his shoulder,
\n and his name will be called
\n\u201cWonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
\n Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.\u201d\u009d
